Every morning at sunrise, the boats return from fishing. All the villagers organise themselves collectively: several boats anchor the nets and the men on land haul them in. The booty is then divided up according to each person’s task. The boat owner gets a larger share. Global warming and the over-exploitation of fish stocks are reducing catches. That day, it wasn’t so bad.
